Prakash Karmakar s landscapes always have a surreal quality. This one is not an exception although it is more of magical realism than surrealism. The sky is golden with the rays of the setting sun but the water is lit like early morning. The reds oranges and yellows from the Sun have settled down on the rocks and trees on the other bank.
